One owner received a protected tag personally and confirmed arrival at their own storage place, reducing the counter's tag count from three to two.

An audit supplement distinguished bundle counts from item counts, and Darae withdrew the inference that different figures alone proved a historical omission.

The copy's arrow pointed one way. Beside it, a label named a place reached before the destination. Darae read the name before joining the line.

On the morning of R+157, the audit route supplied a face concerning the old transport bundle's exterior marking. An explanation associated it with the same group of property. That did not immediately establish the first movement of the two tags now stored here. Darae asked separately when the label was attached, who attached it, and who had actually read and received it.

Jingyeong placed the new face beside the receiving role's earlier supplement. The one supported physical receipt remained. Today's question lay immediately before it. Darae reread the sentence that had combined document receipt and object receipt. The present supplement had not erased it. A new answer could not make the original explanation accurate from the beginning.

The relevant face named a temporary assembly area. Darae did not write that every possession from Sai had passed through it. The explanation concerned where one bundle had been offered for agreed transport. Its contents were another question. A current supplement said it had stood beside other objects after receiving the exterior label. The actual floor held more than a single arrow.

Did this confirm the departure? Sodam asked. It provided grounds for where a transport bundle had been put forward. Where its individual contents had been before that remained separate. Sodam nodded. A short line was not no line. Darae recorded this departure place with the grounds supporting it.

A small misdelivered box reached the present counter. Its dispatch marking named the neighbouring work desk. Garam checked the real recipient before accepting it. Arrival through a familiar passage did not turn it into a new lost-property intake. Darae neither placed it on the bench nor opened it. They connected it to the correct staff's receiving procedure.

As it moved, the box slowly turned. Objects in the axial section did not stop because somebody told them to. Garam controlled it through the agreed restraint. Darae withdrew a hand she had almost stretched out. A sudden reach across the passage could send her moving too. The regular cargo handler managed the transfer. A small box still had momentum.

“If misdeliveries belong to us too, we'll need another warehouse,” Sodam said.

Changing an owner whenever something arrived wrongly would be a serious problem, Darae answered. They laughed briefly. The neighbouring worker received the actual box. Darae kept only the necessary account of its brief stop here. Passing through this place did not require every object to acquire one of its intake numbers.

After receipt, the neighbouring worker asked about an exterior destination pointing in an old direction. Darae did not promise merely to change her own counter's sign. Another role maintained the dispatch guidance. She passed the relevant account of today's misdelivery to that role, asking where the next box should go before deciding whose mistake this had been.

Garam explained the overlapping labels. The top one was correct; an old address remained on the side. Turning the box changed which face appeared first. In the axial section even its apparent top and bottom depended largely on the handlers' chosen orientation. Darae recorded the destinations as the current responsible worker had read them. Removing an old label belonged to the box's own handlers.

This time there had been two routes without reading inside, Sodam observed. Yes. A notebook cover and a shipping address were different sorts of clue, but which face a hand saw first could matter. Darae checked her workbench's markings. The necessary face was visible in its present secured position. That was not a promise to prevent every future rotation.

Dispatch guidance confirmed receipt of the correction issue and the separate handling matter. Darae checked once whether this meant actual receipt rather than a plan to receive. There was no need to ask again every hour. The box had left, and the address question had reached responsible hands. She returned to the copied assembly-area label. Today's rotation supplied no automatic account of an old movement.

Still, she read the old assembly position differently now. Objects placed beside one another did not necessarily belong to the same person. Through the current worker she asked whether the past account distinguished temporary waiting from transport handover. The reply explained separate waiting and actual transport-receipt notations. A summary had compressed both into one line.

Darae retained its arrow and linked the present supplement. The earlier writer's available material differed from the evidence they could receive today. Jingyeong said her own explanation belonged in that stretch too. Her voice was quiet. Darae recorded her taking the current question under her name, without making today's precision an exemption from the past.

Around lunch, one of the two remaining tag owners answered. They wanted continued storage for now rather than personal collection. The place where it would go was changing. Darae required no detailed account of their living circumstances. She explained the present storage conditions and how to choose again. No collection date did not mean no choice.

Was keeping it longer the opposite of return? Sodam asked. It was the present state its owner had chosen. Not being unable to receive it, nor a promise that the counter would hold it forever. Agreed conditions remained. Garam checked both tags' protection. Even a decision to leave something still needed real custody and a next contact route.

The other owner received no fresh demand. A reply remained pending through the existing route. Darae did not recommend continued storage because one person had selected it. One had chosen to keep a possession here; one was still choosing. The count of two was not simple enough to erase those separate lines.

That afternoon the designated audit recipient acknowledged the material. The exterior marking and the historical role's account could connect one bundle's movement from temporary assembly into transport. Individual objects' earlier departures and broader responsibility remained under comparison. A signatory was not credited with witnessing every action. Each account showed whether its grounds were documents or direct observation.

A scheduling supplement also arrived through Bae Giwan's existing route. Times had been grouped to reduce transport losses, it explained. Darae did not treat discussion of costs alone as proof of lying. The cost might have been real. Haste still supplied no authority to stop checking what had been loaded. She passed on his stated scope separately from the missing item details.

The questions would probably come back, Jingyeong said. With answers, they could come back more precisely. Jingyeong gave a short laugh. Darae could not say whether it was a happy one, and did not use an expression to measure responsibility. Jingyeong read back the items she would receive; the relevant worker acknowledged them. That much had happened now.

A restraint beside the desk kept twisting during the shift. Garam checked the required state and put it right. Darae remembered the box turning. When busy, people could arrange even a short strap toward the nearest hand. More knots than numbers today, Sodam said. Either could send a thing elsewhere if read wrongly, Darae answered.

A routine maintenance inquiry asked where unused protective fittings should be placed. Lost property, or equipment with a present custodian? These were communal tools, not ownerless possessions. There was no reason to make another intake here. Darae connected the inquiry to their equipment manager. Sending an object toward the right place could finish a counter's work too.

Near the end of the shift, Mujin said he had read the next page of his book. Had anything changed? A sentence he had not understood had appeared again in another character's words. Was he giving things away? Not the whole story. Darae wanted to see that page next time. Their conversation possessed a different sort of order from the copy's front and back.

They ate separately. At her table Darae sent occasional greetings without repeating a question when no immediate answer came. Mujin had an actual assignment. She washed her cup and opened her book. Waiting for somebody did not require her entire evening to become a waiting room.

His reply came after she had read a few pages. Could they call briefly? She wanted to read a little more first, then could. He understood. She did not hurry to close the book because somebody she liked would wait. At the agreed time, he said he was still on the same sentence. Darae laughed. Perhaps her own pace was not so slow.

He had placed the bowl drawing beside the bowl he used. Which was bigger? The drawing. Darae did not pretend she had planned the size. Trying to draw a bowl without a handle, she had kept making its rim larger. So that was how it had acquired its present shape, he said. There was no suggestion that she fix it.

She thought she had wanted to hear that. Today's tag owner had not needed to explain every reason for leaving the possession here. The gifted drawing had already gone to Mujin without an explanation of every line. Different things, each with an end beyond her hands. She fell quiet briefly, then told him today had been good too.

The night notice scheduled a real shift check of the remaining tags' custody conditions. One owner had chosen continued storage; the other had not chosen a method. The historical bundle now had a supported stretch from temporary assembly toward transport, with the earlier hands still unknown. Darae left the count at two. Tomorrow's work was to keep those two names from becoming a single delay.
