Orbital Lost and Found

Even in orbit, lost things get an intake number. At Raon Station, Yeon Darae knows how to reunite a sock with its owner. Cargo 7-B is a harder case: a warm carbon-dioxide scrubber cartridge, a handwritten request, and an address the station’s records refuse to recognize.

With a rescue pilot, a life-support technician, and a registrar who knows more than she says, Darae follows the labels back to the people behind them. Paperwork can establish who owns a thing. Getting help to a person takes something more.
