The absent board was absent from the room. The present board was at the receiving desk.
On the morning of January 9, Seorin received Garam Communal Workshop's answer within the company's follow-up scope. The operator had handled the first limited use after yesterday's reopening. She did not write as if she had witnessed it. First match both record headings, authors and what each line had checked.
The preparation-room sheet said no board remained. Receiving material said an adult user's single board awaited the next worker. It had left the room for the designated waiting position and blocked no preparation-room door. Dividing the messages had not been wrong. Shortened wording had lost the place names.
Jieon explained sending the two lines to the company without their headings. Seorin compared that explanation with original records. Different site workers were reading different intervals of the same object's route. The brief package at the company made one board seem absent or doubled. Scope had folded at her table too.
The actual worker completed the current board receipt within entrusted purpose and authority. The personal artwork's content stayed outside company follow-up. Seorin held the object as no fresh evidence. Passage and layout questions supplied no reason to keep somebody else's property longer.
“My material said preparation room,” Sujin said. “That heading disappeared.”
“I wanted it brief,” Jieon replied.
Seorin retained what company reception had lost too. Simply requiring longer site sentences would hide the hands shortening them afterward. Her side had scope to read as well. She placed the original heading beside her summary so the stage where wording shortened remained visible. The company demanded no fresh site photograph.
Sujin attached clarification of present meaning to the original record without bringing the already moved board back. Correcting a misleading part did not require restarting completed handover. Seorin linked original place and receipt condition to the company result. Nobody had checked one object in two places simultaneously. Movement had connected room and receiving-desk states. Joining times on one line could not make the order of hands simultaneous. The small difference closed in current material.
They created no additional site visit. This follow-up concerned actual operating receipt and correction within checked scope. No result required a new device examination or whole-use certification. Operations maintained current room conditions, remaining device management and actual responsibility. Receiving that answer, the company completed the inquiry within its defined scope.
Jieon was glad the explanation had ended well. The present material now matched, Seorin said. It did not remove Haesol's earlier difficulty. Direct evidence remained insufficient for exact former support position or every moment of handle state. Company guidance separated current findings and limits, assigning no fresh individual liability or compensation.
The original outside-latch photograph showed a post-event corridor condition. The later lower-door image was a partial scene Haesol sent while requesting help. They showed neither one door nor one time. Present cart and wheelless support retained distinct names. A new explanation drew no invisible wheel into an old picture.
Doun finished actual equipment-clearing receipt at the company. Yesterday's private dinner companion stood before Seorin with another assigned responsibility today. He indicated an empty bag compartment.
“One missing item is correct. We never borrowed it.”
“Then no need to go and fill the space.”
“Fill it, and return gains another job.”
She laughed and closed the bag. An unoccupied room and a compartment that should be empty need not mean the same result. Today's equipment had all actually returned to its responsible worker.
That afternoon she received the current roster for subsequent assignment. Ending the workshop inquiry did not insert a fresh site into the remaining hours. She completed material handover and her record organization within assigned duty. A call about another investigator's site reached Doun, without automatically extending her work.
He went to check assigned equipment support. When she asked where, he named the place on the company sheet. She needed no user names from that site. Sharing a vehicle had not assigned every next inquiry to both of them. Their duties divided in actual time.
During company organization, Seorin viewed the custody inventory for old Eundam material, without reopening private records. It listed the company's present scope and separately preserved material. The old western Channel Four's local seven-hundred-and-eighty-second delay, original-device time question and witness gaps remained. Matching a workshop door had resolved none of those older questions.
She had no new location for the Common 04 original key. Haeun and her mother remained alive; refusal of private contact, publication hold and designated reporting route continued without changed decisions. The inventory was no invitation to select somebody for a quick direct question. Losing authority and unknowns would make any new explanation fragile.
She could append neither receipt of Gijun's words nor forgiveness without evidence. Doun's old work mark retained known fact and unresolved parts separately. Seorin did not make the inventory a list she must finish alone. Today's completed inquiry and an earlier unresolved case could occupy different states in one bag.
After duty, she reread Eunju's music title without asking for another private message. She considered searching for a recording she could hear, then chose a book tonight. She could decide which unknown to answer in her own evening.
At a nearby shop she bought ingredients and received two thin bags. One held the purchase; the other protected it from dampness. Sorting them at home, she almost thought she had lost a bag, then laughed. Questions learned at work need not return only at grand moments.
Doun's private greeting came late, after his assigned support and actual return. She briefly said the workshop receiving-desk board too had reached its responsible person. He joked that he had thought she never found the wheels in the photograph.
“Find wheels that weren't there, and we can't return them.”
“A wheelless evening, then.”
“There is a door.”
“That will do.”
She covered the screen and laughed aloud. Their contact supplied no official name for a new relationship. They simply had a small thing to tell each other after the day.
On the morning of January 10, another material inquiry arrived. It was not another check of the newly completed workshop result from the previous day. Jeong Yunjae had sent it through the existing company route: limited comparison linked to old Eundam site preservation. Nobody demanded an investigative original a private inspector did not hold.
Seorin did not spread every earlier record at the heading. The company was matching actual scope and material authority first. The Safety Response Team wanted the source of a photograph copy received during site preservation. It announced no new culprit, judgment or compensation result. She expanded nothing before actual assignment.
One attached image showed the key board and a Common 04 label. Seorin did not think the original key had returned. Label and key were separate objects, and the image lacked information to identify an original key. A question about source preceded conclusion.
The inquiry she was currently permitted to read concerned photographer and transmission route. One link identifying which record supplied the copy was missing. A remembered name from the site might easily fill it. Seorin did not use memory that way. First match the actual records to learn whether it was an original she had photographed herself.
Passing before another assignment, Doun heard her say the limited question concerned the old key-board picture.
“I can remember a position without knowing the photographer,” he said.
“Keep that distinction.”
Knowing a former mark did not make today's copy his testimony. He agreed and went to assigned work. She did not follow for more old questions. Once company scope was fixed, existing material and defined routes could support comparison. She did not want the comfortable voice of a private evening to become a way of obtaining old statements more easily. This morning held other duties.
Yunjae's question likewise concerned a limited connection in current preservation material. The Safety Response Team had issued no substitute for every investigative conclusion. It authorized neither forced reading nor private contact. Seorin separated received scope from answers still pending. One sheet would not turn into broad permission.
The company worker reconfirmed an image copy received in transmission, not original-storage logs. Whether visible numerals belonged to capture reference time or material transfer needed source identification first. Seorin did not subtract numbers to produce thirteen minutes. One old channel's delay rule did not attach to every photograph time.
She recalled the two workshop pictures. Even inside one request, doors and times differed. This key-board image first needed actual maker, time and route, rather than a frightening interpretation. Small questions did not make an event small. They kept a wrong scene from becoming larger.
Near lunch, Seorin left inquiry material in the company's assigned place. Awaiting fresh scope did not take away her meal. A photograph's blank field had no authority to keep her seated indefinitely. She drank water and rose. The next check could begin after material she could actually read arrived.
After lunch, the limited comparison assignment awaited her: establish the image's original-material connection within her retained work records, excluding private pages and publication-held statements. She placed request copy beside her record inventory. There was a photograph of the same key board, but the shape of its cropped edges differed.
Both showed Common 04. One included the screw at the board's corner; the other retained more wall beyond it. Seorin did not immediately declare different crops of one photograph. They might be different photographs of the same object. Merge them first, and what disappeared would not be the key. It would be the place somebody had stood that day.
